To download the new firmware click on the blue link. Instructions about how to update the firmware is described under 1216H Info and Start up 1216H pages.

Important! If you have a WebSwitch with bootloader v 1.13 or later you can NOT install older versions than 4.27

Note!: Always unzip the bin-file inside the zip-file before updating!
Also note!: If you have firmware/software version 1.8 or older installed, you must install this file first.

Version 3.7:

  • The format HH:MM did not work in ACP overrides.
  • Fixed a rounding error in temperatures between -1C and +1C.
  • Sun rise/set was not calculated if a NTP server was missing/not available.
  • Added possibility to get temperatur.nu readings via HTTP-REST.

Version 3.5:

  • Improved USB handling when using the Setup Manager to submit new settings, firmware, etc as to avoid some PCs’ USB system to hang possibly causing the PC to become unresponsive.
  • Changed so that the http/rest command which is used to pulse a relay now can be reissued before the pulse time has expired in order to extend the pulse.
  • Nexa remote switches can now be used as ping watchdog toggle relays.

Version 3.3:

Version 3.2:

  • It is now possible to get more than one temperature using the HTTP-REST url:

    http://[webswitch address]/temperature/get2/[1-25]

    Example: /temperature/get2/2$3$4 will get a list looking like this:


  • Fixed a parse error in the HTTP-REST urls http://[url]/rotatorcontrol/get2 and http://[url]/rotatorcontrol/get
  • Added another username/password pair enabling viewing of all web page setup data while requiring to be logged in for submitting changes.
  • Passwords are now displayed using the * character. A “Show” button shows the hidden password in a popup window.
  • Fixed a bug in the parsing of HTTP-REST urls containing spaces.

Version 3.1:

  • Added support for HTTP-REST -> /rotatorcontrol/get/setup.
  • Added support for HTTP-REST -> /rotatorcontrol/get2
  • HTTP-REST -> /rotatorcontrol/power/on|off and /rotatorcontrol/aux/on|off reply with current relay state.

Version 3.0:

  • Added selectable number of temperature decimals.
  • Added possibility to show temperature in Fahrenheit.
  • Added possibility to get temperature from the web site “temperatur.nu”. Status of the service is shown on the “System Info” page.
  • Increased analogue rotor page timeout to better handle slow connections + misc. rotator interface improvements.
  • ACP: Removed the “light value” since it wasn’t used and replaced it with the possibilty to have one temperature sensor per program row, instead of one per program.
  • ACP: Changed the pulse relay function so if something else cancels an ongoing pulse then the program will be triggered and ready for a new pulse start at once. Pulse lengths can now also be up to 65535 seconds.
  • ACP: Active time and temp intervals have yellow background.
  • Added HTTP-REST rotor control/status commands.
  • Added RFC2217 remote serial client and server support, enabling remote serial ports.

  • Added support for Antenna Selection based on data from a Remote RRC. Requires RRC v2.66 or newer.
  • Change the Antenna Selection filter so that the two scans done after each other when a new FQ is detected do no require exact FQ matches but only within the same range.
  • Misc. Antenna Selection improvements.
  • Added ICOM Controller Address to the setup. Previously only Transceiver Address was programmable.
  • The Set Relays page now checks the response from the WS. If no response in 15 secs then the relays are coloured gray.
  • Fixed a bug in the internal web server which url decoded + to space, which could cause problems if a + sign was used in for ex. relay names.
  • 1-wire temperature values of exactly 85.0C degrees are skipped so that read errors do not give false readings.
  • Fixed a problem when re-scanning for a 1-wire device which had been moved from one bus to the other.
  • ACP: Added possibility to Toggle a relay by activating a digital input(for > one sec)
  • Changed so every Webswitch has an unique USB serial number. When updating to this version the virtual USB Comport might change port number.

Version 2.10:

  • The Min/Max temperature function did not show correct negative values.
  • Auto Control Programs override in HH:MM format had stopped working in version 2.9
  • The “relay used by multiple programs” warning was sometimes invalid.
  • Increased the NTP-timeout from 5 to 10 secs to handle slow networks which prevented the clock from being set.
  • Added support for getting and setting Auto Control Program overrides via HTTP/REST.
  • Added support for getting temperature and humidity as simple values via HTTP/REST. (For use with for ex. www.cosm.com)
  • Improved HTTP/REST control when using names instead of numbers. Previously it could fail using non-ASCII characters.
  • Some HTTP/XML headers used when controlling via HTTP/REST had incorrect/incomplete format.
  • Extended the Ping watchdog function with a possibility to toggle a relay instead of restarting the Webswitch.
  • Bug fix: Clicking on the rotator page link did not update the live update timeout.

Version 2.8:

  • Added support for a new rotator: AlfaSpid RAK.
  • Bug fix: If ping watchdog was enabled the system stopped responding to ping.
  • Bug fix: Min and Max temperatures’ decimals were displayed incorrect. For ex: 18.0625 was displayed as 18.625 degrees.
  • Bug fix: Disable followed by enabling Nexa remote switch updates inhibits the Car Heater and Auto Control Programs from sending for 30 seconds. Makes it possible to manually send a Nexa code in order to program a remote switch without the automatic programs interfering with other codes.
  • Bug fix: Fixed a couple of Email sending bugs which prevented the use of Exchange Server as SMTP server.
  • Bug fix: In some situations a request for a web page or controlling/getting status via HTTP/REST failed and no data was send to the requester.

Version 2.7:

  • Added a two new Function types called “Kenwood(FA), no txd” and “Kenwood(FB), no txd” which don’t poll the radio for getting the current frequency, instead they only listen to either FA  or FB messages.

Version 2.6:

  • Fixed a bug which made scanning for two or more new 1-wire devices impossible if they were connected simultaneously .
  • Added support for reading relative humidity sensors using the HTTP-REST interface.
  • Changed the relay on/off HTTP-REST interface so that more than one relay can be turned on/off using one command.
  • Fixed a bug on the Antenna Selection web page which could cause a reset or a corrupt web page if relay one was excluded from the list of used relays.
  • Misc. memory optimizations.

Version 2.5:

Version 2.4:

  • Bug fix in 10 MBit prefer mode.
  • Prohibited downgrading of firmware in hardware version 2.
  • Added “Refresh” link to General Status Page.
  • Fixed a bug when exporting setup in binary mode that prohibited successful import in some cases.
  • Fixed a problem which in certain cases could make the Webswitch restart endlessly.
  • Fixed a rotator problem when using a scale with 0V as 0 degrees that caused the interval 330-359 to be shown as 359 degrees.
  • Using the HTTP-REST interface to pulse a relay didn’t work on the standard version.
  • The Dynamic DNS status was shown as “error 2″ when not activated. Now it shows “Inactive” instead. Also some more minor bug fixes.
  • Added a “ping watchdog feature” used to monitor the network connection and optionally reset the Webswitch if it fails.
  • In order to prevent the Webswitch from  being inaccessible from the network a memory monitor function which will restart the Webswitch if free memory falls below a certain level has been added.
  • Added the possibility to individually set the status of the relays at power on/restart.
  • Fixed a problem in DCU1/Green Heron rotator controlling which could cause the new position not to be set.
  • Added support for antenna control using the transceiver R&S XK2000.
  • Extended version:
    • Current relay status is shown on the Auto Controls Page.
    • Improved the Car Warm Up feature so that temperatures going up and down between two intervals don’t cause the Webswitch to turn on and off the relay. Once activated the relay will stay on until departure time regardless of temperature changes.
    • Added support for humidity sensor “Luftfuktighetsmätare [Version 2]” from www.m.nu.
    • Added support for monitoring temperature/humidity/inputs and send emails if programmable levels are exceeded.

Version 2.0:

  • Improved receiving of Nexa self learning codes.
  • Added support for Microbit’s own dynamic DNS system. Also added dynamic system status info to the System Info web page.
  • Added support for a new rotator: Yaesu GS-232B.
  • Fixed a problem which could cause the rotators Green Heron, DCU-1 or Idiom Press not to be successfully initialised.

Version 1.24:

  • Rather heavily modified analogue rotator support. It’s now possible to select input voltage range either between 0-2.55V or between 0-5.10V(was used before), as well as resolution from 8-15 bits. Note that the A/D’s accuracy is only 8 bits so a higher resolution isn’t necessary better.  10 bits was used in previous versions.
  • Added support for automatic switching DST on/off using a rule based system.
  • ACP: renamed “Allow manual override” to “Disable periodic updates” since it better explains what it does.
  • Added support for Idiom Press rotator controllers.
  • Added support for using the serial port as a general status receiver showing the received information on the status page.
  • Allowed 0(zero) departure times in the Car Warm Up schedule.
  • Added support for reading and controlling the Car Warm Up via HTTP(REST).
  • Made it possible to activate more than one relay simultaneous when using the automatic antenna switch feature. Also added a 5 minutes time out which will inactive all relays if frequency information stops coming.

Version 1.23:

  • Added support for reading relay states via HTTP(REST).
  • Fixed so non-ASCII characters work in web page settings with all browsers.
  • Fixed saving of frequency bands settings for extended relays. Wrong internal format was used, could lead to false triggering.
  • Removed the Debug setting on the web page. (Setting it to High could lead to restarts of the Webswitch)
  • Improved restart function. Could sometimes fail leaving the unit in a locked state.
  • It was not possible to give extension relay number 6 a name on the web page, fixed now.
  • Miscellaneous other minor fixes.

Version 1.22:

  • Added support for two new antenna rotators: Green Heron RT-21 and DCU-1.
  • Removed authentication requirement when reading digital inputs and temperatures via HTTP/REST.
  • Improved the information regarding relays being used by multiple programs/functions as to warn less and more accurate.
  • Improved the antenna rotator web page update for slow connections between the web browser and the Webswitch.

Version 1.21:

  • Added pulse mode of relays in the Auto Control Programs(extended version)
  • Added support for using the two digital inputs(labelled “IN-1″ and “IN-2″) as input in the Auto Control Programs(extended version)
  • Added support for controlling a new Antenna Rotator called “Antenna Switch”.
  • Fixed a bug in the HTTP/REST control of relays which caused relay 2 to be controlled instead of 4 or 5.
  • The antenna rotator presets are now red coloured when clicking on them.
  • Fixed a bug that made the detection of a disconnected USB cable fail.
  • Fixed a bug in the Antenna Rotator controlling which added more and more HTTP calls when clicking on for ex the  CW and CCW buttons.

Version 1.20:

  • Added support for temperature sensor Maxim 18S20.
  • Added “REST” like control of relays and reading of digital inputs and temperature sensors. See this page for more information.
  • Finally found and fixed a bug which made update of firmware via USB on some PCs impossible. (Setup Manager reported “Write failed”)

Version 1.19: 

  • Added support for a new rotator: Prosistel D. Note that when updating to this version while using the analogue rotator you will have to re-enable the rotator.
  • Added 8 presets for the rotator control. Possible to program text on button as well as degree number.
  • Fixed a thing which could make the rotator control not working on PCs with older Javascript versions.

Version 1.18:

  • Once again a heavily modified antenna rotator controller. This time the settings/calibration parts have been changed in order to allow “non-linear” rotators. See the support pages for details. Note that when updating to this version while using the analogue rotator you will have to re-enter the rotator settings! (Make a note of current saved A/D values for the end points)

Version 1.17:

  • Heavily modified antenna rotator controller. Now with a graphical interface and lots of settings. See the support pages for details.
  • A “relay master” Webswitch’s Auto Control Programs and Car Warm Up functions can use the five extension relays on the “slave Webswitch”.
  • The program list on the ACP page hides disabled programs by default. Makes it easier to read the page.
  • Changed the “Set relays” page so that even Internet Explorer can be used to directly control the relays by unique URLs ;-)

Version 1.16:

  • Auto Control Programs(ACP): Added possibility to reinit(delete) a single program.(“Mode”->”Reinit program”)
  • Car Warm Up(CWU): Doesn’t show “Tomorrow’s departure time” if forced on or off.
  • Nexa: Added possibility to disable radio transmission for 5 minutes. Helps avoiding receivers learning the wrong code when powering them up.
  • Nexa: Delayed the initial transmission done after power on for 15 seconds. Also in order to avoid receivers learning the wrong code when powering them up after a power failure.
  • Added antenna rotator control.
  • Fixed a couple of problems with the basic heating/cooling/fan controls. Changed interval to 5-99 degrees(C), like in 1216E.
  • Added cooling control(relay 2) to the basic functions, also like the 1216E.
  • ACP: Fixed an error preventing use of temperature sensors number 3-25.
  • Forced recalculation of sun rise/set after power up, regardless of new day number or not. Short power failures could corrupt the sun rise/set times.
  • CWU: Changed so that a disabled heater doesn’t control the relay if override or forced on.
  • Note! If you have version 1.8 or older installed, you must install this file first.

Version 1.14:

  • Increased the number of band in the automatic band switching from 3 to 9.
  • Added export and import of the settings.
  • Added possibility to allow only one relay being activated simultaneously. Selectable by the setting “Only one relay ON simultaneously”.
  • Added two more buttons on the “Set relays” page. They allow simultaneously turning on or off all relays. The function is not available if “Only one relay ON simultaneously” is set to “Yes”.
  • Speeded up the firmware update via USB.
  • If you have version 1.8 or older installed, you must install this file first.

Version 1.13:

  • The problem with the Ethernet type negotiations is fixed (important fix). This should solve lot of trouble with the Web pages and connectivity in general.
  • Now support for automatic antenna switching with Yaesu also (eg. FT-2K,5K,9K).
  • If you have version 1.8 or older installed, you must install this file first.

Version 1.12:

  • Temperature sensors now correctly handles temperatures below 0(C).
  • Enhanced web server functionality.

Version 1.10:

  • New feature allows two switches to be connected together, which makes it possible to get have 10 relays for automatic band switching.
  • Added access key attribute on relay page (IE). Alt+0-9 switches the relays on/off without mouse click.
  • Different colours for on/off, eg. red and green buttons.
  • if function is se to 3-5 the relays will start in off position after power on
